When Schools and Bridges are Collapsing, the Philanthropist Barack Obama comes to the Rescue

 
Throughout his jobs speech last Thursday, Obama demanded from both houses of Congress over two dozen times to immediately pass his nonexistent bill.

Obama laid out grandiose plans which included rebuilding this country’s crumbling infrastructure in order to finally get those shovel-ready moving. As for plans to pay for all this restorations of bridges, roads, and school buildings, Obama has proclaimed it wouldn’t cost us a single additional dime. It’s sort of like Obamacare which we know it achieved the status of saving money only after lots of false mathematical gimmicks.

The American Jobs Bill of 2011 which will be presented to Congress tonight, will supposedly be paid for in advance via spending cuts a committee will discover and implement within the next ten years. Yeah, right. It’s more likely to be paid for with future new taxes, via the hardworking hordes of new IRS employees, or will simply be further piled onto the backs of future generations. After all, the bill’s only $447 billion which is pretty small in comparison to the over $14 trillion of which we are currently in debt.

I found the sums mentioned pretty surprising. The White House announced the odd figure of 447 billion and not 450, 445, or 448 billion as the exact figure necessary to turn the economy around. The large figure was broken down into two smaller figures of 253 billion in supposed tax cuts and 194 billion in federal spending. Note again, 250 billion wouldn’t have done the job while 254 was one billion too many in tax cuts. Same for the spending; 200 billion must’ve come across as too large while 193 billion was one billion too short.

These figures must’ve been designed to appear real for the cool-aid drinking crowd for it is known that all government spending bills end up costing way more than originally promised.

By the way, does anyone remember the urgency of this jobs bill? So vitally urgent that Obama originally demanded to present his speech (without the actual bill) the very first night Congress came back from vacation which was “coincidentally” the same night as the debate of the Republican Presidential Candidates.

Well, surprise, surprise!

Most of the $447 billion package will be spent in 2012. Hmm. What else will be occurring in 2012?

Hint: think of November 2012.

Obama’s also promised in his speech to provide employers with a tax credit for hiring anyone unemployed over six month. This will be discriminating against those who’ve recently lost their jobs or those yet to be laid off. Instead of possibly regaining employment, unemployed individuals will automatically spend the next half a year on unemployment benefits without a chance in being hired. Why should a business hire them when they could receive four thousand dollars for hiring someone which meets the administrations’’ qualifications as someone considered to be truly in need of a job?

Obama’s passion for philanthropic endeavors paid for with taxpayer funds is an old story, as old as Obama’s presidency.

The day Obama took office the national debt had been at 10.6 trillion dollars. In the less-than-three years since Obama has become president, our national debt has increased with over four trillion dollars, currently standing at over 14.69 trillion U.S. dollars. Obama is constantly blaming the debt as an inheritance of Bush while he has added in a half a term more than half of what Bush added in 8 years! In Obama’s first 57 days, (not states) 400 billion dollars debt was added! The national debt is currently increasing at the rate of 2.95 million per minute.

Where do the all these green dollars disappear to?

Fear not my friends. Obama seems to have a generous streak in his personality, and has given and promised support for many in need. There hasn’t been enough focus on his giving nature, perhaps because of his humility, so I decided to compile a list focusing on his generosity.

Disclaimer: This list is incomplete since Obama’s humility has kept him from broadcasting his every kind deed, thus making this search extremely tedious and difficult. Any additional items discovered worthy to join the list are welcomed in the comments. 

• Stimulus:

Obama has stimulated the Chinese economy with his generous tax cuts aka handouts to all American citizens.

Now that you’ve all been made aware that you too have gotten at least a couple of bucks of the over four trillion spent in under one thousand days and owe Obama a heartfelt thanks, we can proceed down the rest of the list. 

• Acorn:

Acorn was given federal grants and stimulus money for their humanitarian efforts in bringing as many dead people as possible back to life in the voting booths.  

• Union Brotherhood:

Obama issued Executive Order 13502 which went into effect May 2010. It encouraged the use of project labor agreements in connection with large-scale construction projects thus promoting the construction trade union.

Additionally, at the start of his presidency Obama overturned a policy which forbade airport screeners from organizing, thus creating a future 63,000 new union members.

These acts are a small token of thanks to the unions for the sixty million dollars they’ve spent to get Obama into office. Of course their contributions to Obama were in appreciation of his promises before the election that “their agenda is his agenda” and that “he wants to paint the nation purple.” 

• Bailouts for the car companies:

The Republicans were outraged at the eighty five billion dollars Obama gave to car companies without requiring them to make any serious reforms such as touching employee pension plans amongst other issues which have put them into the red to begin with.

Now, after two years, Obama has declared the bailout a success because they actually returned a few billion of the eighty five billion dollars they had received!! To understand how this can be considered a true success, your name has got to be Barack Obama. How and when will they repay the rest? That doesn’t matter. Union Brotherhood is draining them from any profit they could hope of, while the endless environmental regulations squeeze the breath out of them.

Not to worry. The government will promote their cars by giving each individual purchasing the Volt, a car on batteries, a 10,000 dollar subsidy! This is but another example of the philanthropy of Obama, and this time he’s not even singling out who qualifies-race wise, income wise, party wise… as long as the buyer is an environmentalist. 

• Supporting Business in Foreign Countries:

Brazil is on the receiving end from the Obama administration for billions of dollars to explore offshore drilling. At the same time, the Obama administration is forbidding companies to drill in the United States even with their own money; never mind taxpayers’ money!

Recently, two luxury buses were purchased from a Quebec based company Prevost, courtesy of “The Citizen of the World.”

• Islamic fundamentalists:

The U.S. at the G8 conference together with the other nations have pledged 40 billion dollars for Arab Spring occurring in the Middle East and North Africa to stabilize Egypt and Tunisia, and help fight for rights in Libya, Syria, Yemen and other nations in the region. Additionally Obama has given for Egypt, which is under partial control of the Muslim Brotherhood two billion dollars, by waiving a previous one billion dollar loan and promising an additional billion dollars! All this is despite the fact that all this money can very possibly fall into our enemies hands. In fact, it has been reported that there are currently over 400 Al Qaeda terrorists in Sinai.

Never mind the fact that we have to borrow this money from China in order to fulfill his generous gesture.

• Illegal Immigrants:

Free health care, an amazing deed, indeed.

All the citizens struggling to pay their own insurance policies are positively thrilled to have their tax money and future tax money be used to pay interests for borrowed money which is then handed over to illegals that don’t even pay taxes. These illegals kids also get free education thrown into the package, from taxpayer money of course, crowding up the classrooms and creating a disadvantage to citizens and legal immigrants.

And if he’s so generous already, he might as well give them housing, food stamps and any other program available to Americans in the lower earning bracket. Forty seven million Americans are currently on food stamps and Gingrich dares call Obama “The food stamps president”?

Obama declared in El Paso that Republicans would never be satisfied with his actions to secure the border, even if he’d put a moat with alligators. As though Obama has done even a single act so that it would be less worthwhile or more difficult for illegals to smuggle across our borders. Obama has also told Latinos before the 2010 midterms to remember to punish our enemies and reward our friends.

Indeed, Obama has given them so much, but at whose expense? At the expense of the citizens’ in whose interest he’s supposed to be focused at! Obama seems to be of the mindset that no one minds his handouts and the endless stream of illegals pouring into this country, besides for those evil Republicans. Sure. All those looking for job, which amounts to over 10% of this country must be so excited to have another 20 million illegals to undercut them and compete with for jobs.

In the ultimate act of generosity; Obama has officially announced that illegals won’t be held accountable for their illegal action if they don’t commit any additional crimes or join an education center. 

• Health Care Reform:

Obama put his neck on the line in ensuring health care for all … at the expense of their employers, neighbors, and grandchildren who are already funding the healthcare of the illegals.

• Savior:

Non-leader of the war in Libya, Obama has saved thousands of lives while barely costing us anything since Bush is still paying for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Worldwide Contraception:

Obama signed an executive order, overturning Bush’s previous order, to fund abortion groups worldwide. Nancy Pelosi, the former House Speaker, defended its inclusion in the stimulus explaining that fewer people born is equivalent to fewer dependents on programs listed above. Additionally, fewer people will result in less pollution to destroy the environment.

Now that a partial list of Obama’s great deeds has been compiled, surely Congress will jump to please His Majesty, while the rest of us will be cheering them on in approval.

Although it may seem to us that the decisions of how the country’s taxes shall be spent should focus on our needs, Obama’s focus on his reelection campaign is actually for the people’s benefit. For if Obama won’t win, who will continue his path of philanthropy?The fact that Obama’s philanthropy comes not only at the expense of the over 300 million citizens, but at the expense of their grandchildren and grandchildren’ grandchildren who will be paying off all the debt this country has accumulated in the spirit of his generosity, is simply irrelevant to him and the left.

Quin Hillyer: Perry Absolutely Just Sickened Me

I'm a strong supporter of the death penalty for ruthless murderers and other hardened criminals.

As a New Yorker, the ban against the death penalty especially angered me after the recent murder of an innocent 8 year old boy whose murderer is now trying the insanity claim of course.

Nevertheless, Perry's response at the debate last night was pretty disturbing.
 
Quin Hillyer penned my very feelings on the issue with such clarity at The American Spectator.

I'm sorry. You can say that you will follow the law and impose the death penalty. That's fine. But to say that you have never even struggled with the idea of taking those lives is morally depraved. Sick. Despicable. Inhuman. Disqualifying. Perry sounded absolutely proud of having signed the executions of 234 human beings. He sounded almost bloodthirsty. He didn't just say it once; he elaborated about how terrific it was to carry out the laws of Texas. This is not a morally serious human being -- or at least this answer did not make him sound like a morally serious person. A man of true faith would not necessarily agonize over the final decision not to commute a death sentence, but he would say a prayer, every single time, for guidance. He would approach his decision with humility.

I am offended. And I write this as somebody who agrees that the death penalty is an acceptable punishment for heinous crimes. I'm no crusader against the death penalty. But these are human beings whose lives are being snuffed out. They too are children of God. Perry certainly didn't sound like he understands this.

Is Erickson’s Ego too big to fail?

Erickson wrote another post yesterday in a never ending stream of contradictory proofs and reasons why Governor Palin should not run, will not win, and has no support left, while attacking her for stringing her supporters and others along and that her supporters have criticized his negative columns.

The funniest part of his piece was this:

Sarah Palin has to take some responsibility for her supporters

His request is the epitome of hypocrisy and irony as Dan Riehl so aptly explained in a great post.

Pretty ironic for Erickson to hold Palin responsible for her fans, when he repeatedly claims to not even be responsible for what’s posted on a blog he edits. But then, I don’t expect consistency there.

Erickson then tweeted the following yesterday, linking to another front pagers ramblings, Leon H. Wolf whom I’ve already taken to task at length in the past, lamenting that Governor Palin refuses to bow to their threats to simply disappear.

Strutting about with an over-inflated ego, it hadn’t dawned on Erickson that it’s Red State who’s “lost it” and been “doing something wrong” in their false pretense of neutrality.

For instance, since Perry is an incumbent, Erickson has suddenly discovered an interesting advantage for candidates. Namely, it’s beneficial to be an incumbent while running for higher office, since instead of just talking about past leadership and action, one can actually show leadership and action.

Erickson wrote the above in regard to Rick Perry’s heroic act of leadership when he cancelled his attendance at the Jim Demint Forum and instead headed back home due to the out-of-control wildfires raging in Texas.

I don’t disagree with a Governor’s duty to govern. But hey! I’d love to hear from Erickson his opinion whether he also considers it as advantageous for the Texan residents to have their barely reelected Governor who promised to serve a complete term campaigning across the country at a regular basis and remembering his constituents only at a time of crisis.

Perhaps this is why Erickson hasn’t forgiven Governor Palin for her resignation although it hasn’t affected him in the slightest bit. You see, it seems as though Erickson believes that a candidate’s future comes before the people’s good. Governor Palin should have rather remained Governor for the rest of her term despite the crippling effect it had on her state due to the political games of both parties who opposed her and the nonsensical lawsuits continuously dumped on her staffers, because it would’ve benefited her political career. Putting oneself before the people also explains why Perry was correct in running for reelection instead of not seeking another term at a time when a presidential run was pretty probable.

In 2008 two incumbents won the primaries, John McCain and Barack Obama. Erickson originally supported Fred Thompson in the primary who was a non-incumbent, although incumbents are supposedly at an advantage. Come to think of it, it’s pretty funny how Erickson had drafted Thompson to join the race and never proclaimed his window to have already closed or some similar nonsense. It’s also interesting how executive experience wasn’t that high up on his list in 2008, but I can understand how Obama changed that. Erickson’s support for Thompson is also sensible since Thompson was the most conservative candidate on the ballot, which is by the way the precise reason why I support a Palin presidential run. Palin is far more conservative than all the others and yes, that includes Perry.

Tuesday, Erickson took a cheap shot at Governor Palin while whining for a supposed contradiction.

On Saturday, Sarah Palin went to Iowa to lament crony capitalism in both parties. Her aides said she was taking shots at Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. We don’t know for sure whether or not she was because Sarah Palin herself did not confirm it. History is full of times Palin aides said something only to find Palin herself contradicting the aides.

Yesterday, Sarah Palin went to New Hampshire and said we shouldn’t be squabbling with each other on the same team.

For the record, Governor Palin’s aide simply said that she’d discuss Crony Capitalism and the “permanent political class” without taking any direct hits at Perry or the other candidates, which is what Governor Palin did in her speech in Indianola, Iowa. As for the squabbling part, she spoke in New Hampshire directly to Tea Party members and asked them to remain focused on their goals and not allow anything to cause the movement to splinter.

With his above supposed discrepancy Erickson thereby concurs that Perry is equivalent to Crony Capitalism and that it’s not necessary to actually mention Perry by the name to make the connection. As for the supposed contradiction between a plea for unity and an attack on Perry via an attack on cronyism, these two are no contradiction. What will it take to cause Erickson to admit the obvious; that Perry is not the Tea Party guy he pretends to be? That Perry is rather a member of the “big old boys” politics?

Tea Partiers demand small government, serious reform, and spending cuts. Which of the above has Perry ever done? None! What does the increased spending, subsidized education for illegals, and attempts to force his will upon the people via executive orders indicate? What does having the Bank of America telling Rick Perry not too worry say about Perry and shady dealings?

So which part of “unity amongst Tea Partiers” includes a Crony Capitalist and non-Tea Partier?

Erickson’s contempt and false betrayal of Palin supporters is another indication of where the site has gone wrong. Close to 100% of Palin supporters would vote for the Republican nominee even if it’s not Palin. However, at this point in the game they see no reason to support anyone but her since they are of the opinion that Palin will run and win.

Erickson also “reminded” his readers that the Republican focus is supposed to be on uniting against Obama in this race and not squabbling between one another. He chooses to forget; A- the negative attitude of Red State, and b- that primaries are meant to vet the Republican candidates so the candidate who voters consider best for the job can then run against Obama in the general election which is when everyone will unite against Obama.

The tweet at the start of this article linked to an article written by Leon H. Wolf, a front page writer. In yet another anti-Palin post, Wolf once again blamed Governor Palin for tying up her supporters. He then wrote that;

Whereas three months ago she would have been in an ideal position to be kingmaker in the Republican primary … she might well be in a position that the first person she calls to offer an endorsement will politely turn it down.

If, according to Wolf, her strongest and best moment was three months ago, why waste it to crown another rather than herself taking the plunge? Wolf obviously only wanted her to be a kingmaker and not an actual candidate! Keep in mind that this came from a guy who blames Governor Palin for having become turned off her.

Additionally, why make such a big deal of and waste so much time and effort lately to attempt to influence a non-candidate and her supporters if her supporters are insignificant and her endorsement worthless and unwanted? If they are merely attempting to lure the Palin supporters to the Perry camp, they sure are clueless in how one goes about at such a task. Attacking them and their candidate doesn’t seem to wise.

They are also clueless as to who her supporters are, which Jen Kuznicki put down in a terrific article which is worth your while to read in its entirety.

The people supporting Palin with such passion are people new to the whole scene. We don’t watch what we say, we don’t care about your feelings. We are concerned about the destruction of our nation, and a lot of us have just figured out how to work computers, to be honest. We are truck drivers, waitresses, cooks, grandmas, veterans, union workers, mechanics, seamstresses, electrical workers, plumbers, carpenters, small businessmen and businesswomen, and lots and lots and lots of us are women. Homeschoolers, ranchers, farmers, miners, all of us could be categorized by the beltway political class as “rednecks.”

What rednecks do best is talk straight. What redneck women do best is point out where you’ve gone wrong, and sometimes that just seems over the top, but they don’t give a rip. We get made fun of by the political class, and that just firms our resolve.

Finally, what part of “ by the end of September” is too difficult for these dimwits intellectuals to comprehend?

What don’t People get about Cheney not getting Palin?

The past Friday, Cheney was on the Laura Ingraham show discussing the requirements he felt were necessary in being a vice president, at which Laura brought Palin onto the table. Cheney replied that unanswered questions remain about Palin, especially in regard to her resignation from the governorship.

“Well I’ve never gotten around the question of her having left the governorship of Alaska midterm,” Cheney said. “I’ve never heard that adequately explained so that I could understand why, how she decided in her first term to step down – I’d like to know more about that.”

The entire media and beltway pundits pounced upon his statement as the ultimate rejection of Palin since it came from the “most conservative person” of the previous administration. To many conservatives, Cheney’s confusion over her resignation was quite surprising. Why can’t the D.C. conservatives comprehend a simple concept which so many of us ordinary citizens are capable of grasping with such clarity? My friends, this differentiation between us and them is precisely why Cheney and many other true conservative D.C. politicians simply cannot understand the true reason of Palin’s resignation.

You see, although Cheney is a true conservative, he’s also a Washington guy who has breathed Crony Capitalism for a considerable amount of years. When surrounded with dangerous fumes, if no precautions are taken, one gets affected regardless of the initial before one’s name. Halliburton, at which Cheney was a former Chairman and CEO, received billions in no-bids contracts from the Bush Administration and it’s unknown if any and/or to what extent Cheney was involved.

Additionally, although Cheney has received stacks of hate mail from liberal wing nuts, he was also on the receiving end of his party’s praise and support. His inability to relate to someone who has faced opposition and gridlock from one’s own party in addition to that of the Democrat Party is therefore understandable. He was never forced to deal with endless ridiculous lawsuits like Palin had to because she had dared take on the status quo!

It’s time for conservatives to wake up and realize that majority of the “permanent political class” will do just as Cheney has done and not necessarily from evil intentions to destroy her. They have simply been in Washington for far too long and see Palin’s image of reform, which is supported by conservative common-sense Americans, as delusional and impossible. Despite their having heard of Palin’s unbelievable reform accomplished in Alaska, it is too difficult for them to imagine it actually happening in D.C. itself. On top of that, the crony capitalism is so deeply entrenched in Washington psyches that it has affected most members of both parties who fear an end to the partying and powers they’ve become accustomed to due to a future President Palin.

This is why I don’t expect Paul Ryan to support a future Palin presidential run despite her having been of the first to support his Medicare reform plan. For although he’s often proposed conservative legislation, he has never voted against not-such-conservative bills drafted by the other party leaders whether from the house or the senate. It’s not for naught that Ryan is number four in the house, as part of leadership according to those currently in power is defined as going with the flow.

This is not limited to Ryan. A majority of the house voted for his reform bill and then voted for Boehner’s plan which was a water-downed version of Obama’s plan. It didn’t cut spending, only slowed it.

Palin will still face additional attacks from all sides and we must understand from where these attack stem from; because of her desire to destroy Crony Capitalism and to rebuild and restore America to its previous position. Despite all that will come, as in the past, they will be unable to destroy her.

As Palin had said in Manchester, New Hampshire at the Tea Party Express Rally:

You’ve already withstood the wrath, the disdain, and the lies from the media and the Permanent Political Class looking down on you – on US — mocking us, making things up about us, telling us to go to Hell. You have already withstood that. We’re still standing, standing here today, standing strong, and we’re RESTORING all that’s good about America.

Joe Biden has issued a replacement for the word "Terrorists"

The Obama administration has already dropped many dangerous terminology coined by the Bush administration and by Webster’s Dictionary and replaced them with new peace-inducing terminology.

The war on terror was switched to “Overseas contingency operation”

An act of terrorism is now called a “man-caused disaster”

Additionally, the Obama administration no longer considers detainees in Gitmo as “enemy combatants.”

The only dirty word that has surprisingly been left intact has been the naming of an individual as a terrorist. It wasn’t a major cause of concern for the Obama administration since terrorists ceased to exist…except when they resurfaced in the Tea Party.

Following the storm that erupted after Joe Biden, who happens to be the vice president, and many other Democrat leaders called Tea Party members terrorists, a replacement for the “t” word was needed.

At last, Biden has discovered the perfect substitute!

Why hasn't our President demanded Civility from Hoffa?

Anyone remember all the civility talk emanating from Washington after the Tucson shooting?

In addition to all beltway Republicans demanding a "tone down" in an attempt to prove their "compassion," and the loonies which formed the "No Labels" group, the president himself admonished both sides of the aisle to keep the rhetoric down.

Well, it sure seems like it depends who's saying what, rather than what is actually being said. Today, Hoffa introduced Obama at a Labor Day Rally and boy was he civil!

While warming up a Detroit crowd for President Barack Obama’s Labor Day speech, Teamsters union president Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. said unions need to fight a “war” against tea partiers and congressional Republicans. “President Obama, this is your army,” Hoffa said. “We are ready to march. Let’s take these sons of bitches out and take America back to where America we belong.”

“We gotta keep an eye on the battle that we face, a war on workers, and you see it everywhere in the tea party,” he told an enthusiastic crowd of union supporters. “And, there’s only one way to win that war, the one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know, what, they got a war, they got a war with us and there’s only going to be one winner, it’s going to be the workers up in Michigan and America. We’re going to win that war.”

Hoffa, Jr. (...) was opening up for Obama’s speech in Detroit, which is expected to preview “jobs plan” that he will present in a joint session of Congress on Thursday evening.

AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka, SEIU president Mary Kay Henry and UAW president Bob King also joined Obama in Detroit.

Although Obama wasn't physically in the audience, he addressed the crowd a short while later. Not a hint of criticism or condemnation of Hoffa's speech was heard of Obama. 

Although to be fair, even if Obama would've wanted to condemn Hoffa it would've been impossible since it hadn't showed up on the teleprompter. And an actor may never deviate from his script.

Why is Martin Luther King’s Dream still a Dream?

When an individual or group of people have a goal they dream of reaching, once the hoped for is attained the focus shifts to the actual accomplishment while the rest fades to the background.

When the colonists were under British rule they dreamed of freedom and sovereignty. Before and during the Revolutionary War, they were entirely focused on overthrowing the British and gaining independence. Once the colonists emerged victorious and their dream a reality, their focus shifted. At a day to day basis the talk no longer revolved around their old hopes but at the new-found freedom and current challenges. Several decades and now centuries down the road haven’t erased the hopes, struggles, and victory; they will never be forgotten. Rather it is stored backstage to be brought out front on occasion such as on Independence Day.

It is now over close to 50 years after Martin Luther King delivered his renowned “I have a Dream” speech in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Why is his dream still stressed upon on a constant basis especially amongst Democrats and African American leaders and not its accomplishments? Why hasn’t it yet been relegated to backstage together with other historical speeches? Why has his dream not yet been actualized? Why do African Americans suffer from greater poverty, higher unemployment, and weaker education?

The left has put to power several shameful individuals who brainwash their base in the greatness of the Democrat Party and their generosity through government programs while demonizing the conservative movement as greedy uncaring racists. Breitbart.tv has recently put out two short videos; the first video features Al Sharpton on his new MSNBC show blaming racist segregationist Tea Partiers for wanting to return to the pre-1960’s while the second video has highlights of speeches of many members of the Congressional Black Caucus at jobs town hall meetings in five cities at which they spewed hatred towards the tea party and unabashedly used the race card to incite the attendees against conservatives. The CBC leaders used false violent rhetoric from the right such as tea party members wanting blacks hanging from trees, in order to condone their promotion of violence against the right.

The Democrat Party, the CBC, and Al Sharpton have crowned themselves as the leaders of the African American communities and as the only ones who care and fight for their needs. What accomplishments can they point to besides for digging many African Americans even deeper into the holes of entitlement and helplessness? Why not empower them to the point where they’ll be equal to all and that there shouldn’t be a need for a CBC? Aha – perhaps because they want to avoid precisely that since that would cause them to lose a considerable amount of their power, money, and standing they currently have at the expense of the black communities!

Al Sharpton and the CBC’s silence after Pelosi and the left went on a “civil rights” march proclaiming the passing of Obamacare as equal to the emancipation of slavery reveals their disconnect of the people they claim to represent. Where was the outrage? Do they find the tortures of slavery and the denial of basic rights every human should be entitled to as comparable to the “right” of free health care to the poor at the expense of those better off? What does this hint about Pelosi and the Democrats who have made this illogical comparison yet claim to be the party for the blacks? Come to think of it, what has Obama, the first black president, done for the African American community besides for creating policies which increased unemployment and dependency on government? Where are the marches of protest led by Al Sharpton against the elimination of school choice in D.C. by Obama despite it having been proven to raise the educational level of local African American children?

This obvious hypocrisy can easily be understood when looking back at one incident with the opposite responses of two individuals.

Twenty years ago in Crown Heights, NY a Jewish driver struck a car, swerved onto the sidewalk and hit an African American child, Gavin Cato. The neighborhood at the time had a considerable population of both Jews and blacks and many hotheaded African American teenagers took to the Jewish neighborhoods, vandalizing Jewish property and attacking Jews. While many responded civilly, others including many who were bussed in rioted for three full days beating and plundering left and right.

The father of the dead child, Carmel Cato although deeply pained, declared he had no bad feelings against the driver in particular and Jews in general. Despite his depth of character, he was never named by the media or Democrat party who claim to represent the black population as a civil rights leader who builds relationships between communities. Nor was he crowned as a spokesperson of the black community, or offered to host a TV show.

Al Sharpton joined the scene and further incited the rioters with his focus on race and “peace” marches blasting the Jewish people using anti-Semitic slurs and chanting “no justice, no peace.” Why is it that Al Sharpton, who will use every opportunity he could think of to remind African Americans of their skin color and not of their character, is considered by the left and the media as the spokesperson for the African American community and a civil rights leader who builds relationships between communities? What has made him worthy to recently receive a show to host on MSNBC?

I’m an employee in a retail shop and meet many great people including hardworking African Americans whom I greatly respect for their honorable character and intelligence. Why aren’t any of them or their likes representing their communities in congress? Why is it that the only two African American’s currently serving in congress which were voted into office by a mostly white district are conservative Republicans, and the voters conservatives?

Allen West and Tim Scott, the two Republican African Americans and many other conservative African Americans face heat from the so-called “true” African-American leaders for rejecting their people. How wrong! They should be the ultimate example to their fellow African Americans as to where hard work can take you no matter your skin color! Jesse Jackson and the other CBC members mainly represent districts heavily populated by African Americans who voted for them based on their skin color. Allen West and Tim Scott were elected because of their achievements without a second glance at their skin color. Democrats are known to divide the nation into blocs based on their ethnicity, economic position, etc. in order to unite them against each other and receive their votes. Republicans look at each individual for who they are, what they stand for, what they’ve accomplished, and plan to accomplish in the future.

Martin Luther King had a dream; that people should be valued according to character and not color. The conservative movement has actualized the dream, thus not finding it necessary to constantly mention the dream, the same way they don’t constantly stress on other former dreams such as having been British colonists yearning for freedom. On the other hand, Democrats continually harp on the dream, hoping it should remain forever a dream.

Hopefully after the shameful actions of the Obama administration, the CBC, and other African American leaders are exposed for what they truly are, the African American communities will recognize the truths, abandon their victim status, reach greater heights and watch Martin Luther King’s dream finally being actualized.

None of the current Candidates can answer this question yet there’s no room for Sarah Palin?

The federal government has reached monstrous proportions yet seems intent to expand some more.

It has become an open secret that Washington is heavily corrupted and most politicians are focused on furthering their own interests and the interests of those who line their pockets rather than the interests of the people who sent them to Washington. Corruption is something that plagues politicians on both sides of the aisle. “Pay to play” has become the norm. It no longer causes raised eyebrows or shocked surprise to hear that those who’ve contributed considerably to politicians’ elections are then “paid back” with political positions or/and grants courtesy of taxpayer funds. As Governor Palin has mentioned in her speech Saturday, it isn’t coincidental that seven out the ten richest suburbs are located in Washington D.C. Endless regulation for the ordinary citizens while inserting loopholes for their buddies provides politicians cash for their campaign coffers.

Many individuals are currently running in the Republican primary in the hope to challenge Obama in the general elections with each of them having their pros and cons; some greater than others. A future president must have executive experience, a sound fiscal record, and a proven commitment to the conservative ideology amongst many other qualities. In addition to all these “musts,” there’s one aspect without which it will be impossible to take the train heading to disaster and make a complete U-turn.

It’s absolutely vital that the future leader of this country should be capable of responding positively to the following questions, and the fact that none of the current candidates is able to do so is extremely troubling.

Which one of the candidates can respond with a resounding yes to: Have you ever challenged the “status quo” in the past? Have you ever taken up corruption within your own party? Have you ever fought special interests which pressure politicians to promote an agenda which benefits them rather than the people?

Or have you done your best to “show your appreciation” to big donors and done your utmost to remain on the best terms possible with influential individuals in your state/district?

Americans are desperate for a fearless leader who is ready to lead the country back to its previous strengths through the dismantling of backroom deals and uprooting the way business in Washington is being currently conducted.

Listening to Sarah Palin’s speech yesterday in Iowa the stark difference between Palin and the others has become even more obvious. It can be pretty challenging to explain to the average American the advantages of Palin’s policies which created jobs, the lower unemployment levels in her state in comparison to the rest of the country, or the spending cuts implemented at a time of economic growth. One has to delve into figures and percentages often leaving the potential voter confused and unconvinced of what these figures indicate.

Palin stands above the crowd with the proven record of that which is most important after being a true conservative. It is easy to explain and requires no complex “proofs” since it’s not something which the left or media have ever denied about Sarah. Sarah Palin has taken on special interests and corruptions ever since she joined the political field often at the expense of her own political career. Not only did she fight the big oil companies and members of her party, when faced with corruption vs. honesty, falsehood vs. truth, wrong vs. right, she fearlessly exposed the wrongdoing of many no matter their political standing. When she discovered that the Chairman of the Republican Party in Alaska which was also a fellow board member on the Oil and Gas Commission was involved in corrupt dealings, she called him out on it and fought for the truth until he admitted his guilt and resigned. Although this alienated her from most members of her party, it didn’t stop her from shortly thereafter calling out the Attorney General of the State for his corrupt deeds despite pressure from the Governor to drop the case. There too the truth was on her side, and the Attorney General was forced to resign.

Palin has never allowed herself to be beholden to donations of large corporations who expect payback for their support. Rather, her campaign was funded by the people so that when elected she could lead a “clean government” and not be tied down to anyone but the people.

As the time of Palin’s decision nears, the fools have emerged from their holes and have proclaimed that there’s simply no room for her in the race although allowing room for others. In desperation, they create polls and proofs in a futile attempt to persuade Palin to stay out of the race. They run around convincing the crowds that she won’t run and shouldn’t run and then point to the people polled who don’t want her in the race, ignoring that many of these people have based their opinion because of their talk and columns the last couple of weeks such as those of Dick Morris whose predictions tend to never see the light. Morris wrote that Palin can’t compete with Bachmann on a single issue not finding it necessary to mention Bachmann’s lack of executive experience or record.

There isn’t just plenty of room for Sarah Palin. There is a great need for her to run because the people deserve to have someone who can answer these tough questions by pointing to their record.

Mr. President, if Jobs are so urgent, why wait Six Days to present your Plan?

 
Obama requested to speak before a joint session of Congress at September 7th at eight p.m. for the unveiling of his latest jobs plan. “Coincidentally” the time he requested collides with a scheduled debate between the Republican presidential candidates sponsored by NBC, Politico, and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.

Mr. President, if your jobs plan is so vitally necessary for the wellbeing of the economy, why wait until congress is back so that a joint session in congress can be arranged? Why not come out today and present your plan? Surely it must be complete after all the time you and your team spent preparing for this major presentation. If it’s bipartisanship that you truly seek, why don’t you present your plan today so that both sides will have a complete week to review and discuss it? This way you will also have the opportunity to at least partially fulfill the promise you’ve made to the public during the 2008 campaign; that every bill will be available online five days before congress votes so that everyone will be able to see what is in it.

Thankfully, Boehner had the courage to politely turn down the president’s request, reminding the president that congress wasn’t scheduled to be back in session until the 7th of September with voting starting at 6:30 pm. Since both, a vote in both houses plus a three hour security sweep is required to take place before a joint session could take place, the timing Obama has chosen simply could not work. Boehner ended with an invitation to Obama to join the congress anytime the following day – on the eighth.

Obama acquiesced to Boehner’s proposal and Obama announced that he’ll be presenting his jobs plan next Thursday from 7 pm until 8 pm so that his speech won’t conflict with the NFL openings. Is it a campaign speech or circus at which the larger the audience the merrier, or is it a serious jobs plan which should be put into effect asap? If it is so urgent, why wait until the following night? Why not do it first thing in the morning? 

Obama's speech will have to begin punctually or else he won’t be able to keep his audience captive for a complete hour due to the NFL pregame which begin at 8:00. Since I can’t imagine him being willing to give up a single moment of the teleprompters and cameras combination, this might be remembered as the record-breaking speech at which Obama actually began his speech at the time officially scheduled!

Although not much is known about Obama’s plans, some basics have been released including extending unemployment benefits and focusing on infrastructure.

I can’t speak for others but hey, I’m perfectly fine waiting another week and even another year to hear what he proposes, since I doubt he’ll do anything to really free up the private sector and allow the economy to grow. In fact, I have this creepy feeling that his plan involves more of the same; expansion of government, payback to cronies, and promotions of liberal ideology.

For instance, we probably won’t be forced to once again listen to the great potentials in bringing the Gitmo prisoners to Michigan in an attempt to boost their collapsed economy. Obama attempted killing two birds with one stone; he wished to pacify the left demanding the closure of Gitmo and at the same time create employment for the people of Michigan as prison wardens and other related work in the up keeping of the new location. As expected, the stone didn’t hit its intended targets and Gitmo remains in Gitmo.

On the other hand, Obama’s advocacy for “green jobs” might be repeated, though with care to its past failures.

At the Jobs Programs Speech which was held in Solyndra, a San Francisco based solar panel company, Obama waxed about the potential of green jobs. Why, the company even received a $535 million loan guarantee for “leading the way” and the future hiring of 4,000 additional employees. Well, guess what? They just shut their doors for good! Wait — there’s more!

Just a few months ago, ABC News revealed that one of the major financial backers for Solyndra is also a major donor to the Obama campaign.

The donor, Steve Westley, has subsequently been named to the President’s Energy Advisory Board. Solyndra was supposed to have produced 4,000 jobs with the loan guarantee. Now all of the company’s employees have been laid-off. Mr. Westley is still on the advisory board.

Congressman Cliff Stearns, Chair of House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Oversight Subcomittee, released the following statement this afternoon:

“In an apparent rush to push stimulus dollars out the door, the Obama Administration wasted $535 million in taxpayer funds in guaranteeing a loan to a firm that has proven to be unviable in the global market,” said Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-FL), Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. “For months, we have been investigating how and why nearly half a billion dollars in taxpayer money was committed to this financially troubled company.”

According to The Center for Public Integrity, one of Solyndra’s major investors was George Kaiser, an Oklahoma oil billionaire who raised large sums of money for Obama during the 2008 election. This raised concerns that politics may have played a role in putting taxpayer dollars at risk in making this loan guarantee. In addition, last year the Government Accountability Office issued an unusually blunt assessment of the Energy Department’s loan program, concluding that the department had “treated applicants inconsistently, favoring some and disadvantaging others.”

Using stimulus funds to promote job creation, the Department of Energy awarded a $535 million loan guarantee to Solyndra and the Obama Administration was supposed to review the loan to ensure that taxpayer money was not put at risk. Stearns has been investigating this loan program, and specifically the loan to Solyndra, and was forced to subpoena the Administration for records involving this loan guarantee.

“Although the Administration has been uncooperative with this investigation, this decision by Solyndra does not end our inquiry and we will continue to look into how this loan guarantee was approved and why the American taxpayers are mostly likely out $535 million,” added Stearns. “In addition, this brings up concerns if taxpayers were adequately protected during the restructuring of the loan to Solyndra.”

Surprised anyone?

One second thought, since no one’s actually forcing me to yawn through the jobs speech, I think I might just skip it.

Updates on the Special Elections in NY-9

 

With the all the hype in the national stage the upcoming special elections in NY-9 for Weiner's seat has suddenly crept upon us and is now less than two weeks away.

Things sure are heating up between the Democratic candidate, David Weprin, and The Republican candidate, Bob Turner! The week started off with a bang, with Weprin showing off how much he knows.

Here's the report from Lonely Conservative.

The folks at the New York Daily News had a Q&A session for the candidates running to replace Weiner in congress. The Democrat, David Weprin took the cake for the most ignorant answer. He was asked a pretty simple question – how much is the national debt.

Daily News: “Right now, how big is the debt?”

Weprin: (Pause) “Trillions.”

News: “But how many?”

Weprin: (Deer in headlights look.) “I got caught up on this once before,” referring to his inability while running unsuccessfully for city controller in 2009 to state that office’s budget.

News: “This is central to what is going on in Washington.”

Weprin: “About 4 trillion.”

News: “Four trillion is the debt?”

Weprin: “Right.”

Well, he was off only by a $10 trillion order of magnitude. As has been reported far, wide and ad nauseam, the U.S. is burdened by a debt of roughly $14 trillion.

And this man is telling voters he is ideally suited to participate in finding solutions to America’s yawning annual deficits and crushing debtload? It’s no wonder Weprin inhabits a fantasyland in which, he says, bringing troops home from Afghanistan and Iraq alone “will go a long way to reducing the deficit.” ….

In response, Bob Turner gathered a handful of his 13 grandchildren together below the federal debt clock in midtown Manhattan this morning to lay out what he thinks the federal government should do to lower the deficit and turn economy around. In short, he proposed:

• A “significant” cut in spending to lower the debt

• No further stimulus

• “A sound energy policy”

• Taking corporate money off of balance sheets

At least someone's aware of the current economic situation and ready to do something to reign in the debt!

Then, following the deficit debacle, Weprin  ditched a debate blaming it on Hurricane Irene which was long gone Monday. Hmm. Wonder why.

State Assemblyman David Weprin (D) dropped out of a scheduled debate with Republican Bob Turner scheduled Monday, just over two weeks before a special election in New York’s 9th district that will send one of the men to Congress.

Next, the New York Times jumped into the fray and endorsed ignorant arrogant Weprin because ...  drumbeat ... Weprin "has a proven public record to support Israel."

Whoa! Since when has the New York Times become pro-Israel? And this is definitely the first time in all these years that they half-ways admitted Obama's anti-Israel stance. Does the NYT take us for such fools that we should fall for their phony claim of endorsing Weprin for his supposed support of Israel rather than being a through and through lib?

The least helpful contribution to this race comes from former Mayor Ed Koch, who has endorsed Mr. Turner, he says, as a way to protest President Obama’s statement that Israel’s pre-1967 borders should be the basis for negotiating a peace agreement — with mutually agreed land swaps. The idea has been the basis of all negotiations for more than a decade. But Mr. Weprin and Mr. Turner have been equally critical of Mr. Obama’s words. Mr. Weprin has a proven public record in support of Israel.We endorse David Weprin.

In more campaign news, Turner sent out this flyer of Weprin together with Obama and stressed their support for the planned mosque near ground zero, which Turner opposes. With this mailer Turner reinforces the message of his first campaign ad in which the burning twin towers were seen followed by Weprin's comments in support of the mosque.

The left erupted at Turner for politicizing the tragedy to advance his personal agenda while disregarding the feelings of the families.

Aha! So when Obama uses the death of Osama Bin Laden as self-promotional material while our soldiers are still battling the enemy and endangering their lives, not a peeps is his heard in protest of the left. Nor do they condemn Obama’s sharing military secrets with a private company which will release a video of the raid which captured Osama a month before the 2012 elections.

But Turner’s ad which shows an image of the burning twin towers needs to be decried as insensitive to the victims’ families. Why pay attention to the fact that his ad is showing his empathy of their added pain because the planned mosque?

In more news, Koch who endorsed the Republican candidate Turner, put out the following robocall for Turner:

 "This is former Mayor Ed Koch. I'm calling set the record straight on something. David Weprin is making phone calls trying to scare seniors. They're NONSENSE. Weprin should be ASHAMED of himself. Bob Turner is running for Congress to PROTECT your Medicare and Social Security. It's why I ENDORSED BOB TURNER for Congress. If anyone tries to scare you with LIES about BOB TURNER, tell 'em ED KOCH told them to KNOCK IT OFF. BOB TURNER is the BEST candidate for senior citizens in this race. Don't believe anything else. Send Washington a message: Vote for Bob Turner for congress on September 13th. Bob Turner is supported by Rudy Giuliani, the Liberal Party and me."

So Weprin, in typical Obama style, is using baseless panic to persuade voters to vote for him. How disgusting, though not surprising. In his campaign last year, he used doctored images of swastikas against his Jewish opponent trying to scare Jewish voter.

Rick Perry's Hypocrisy

In an obvious political stunt, Perry sent a letter to Janet Napolitano, Director of the Homeland Security, dated three days before his official campaign launch, demanding the federal government to refund Texas approximately 350 million dollars they’ve spent to keep illegals in prison with the explanation that the federal government hasn’t enforced their laws.

The hypocrisy of Rick Perry is clear to all who are aware of his Governing record. Until the past year when he was seriously considering a presidential run, he stood together with the left on the topic of illegal immigration. Perry does not support a wall spanning the entire Mexican border, and has said Arizona's tough-on-immigration law wouldn't be right for Texas.

If that’s not enough here’s more:

In a recent interview with the New Hampshire Union Leader,Governor Rick Perry reiterated his support for the Texas DREAM Act, a bill he signed in 2001. The bill signed by Governor Perry allows illegal aliens who have lived in Texas for three years to receive in-state tuition. Due to the Texas DREAM Act, qualifying illegal aliens attending the University of Texas, for example, pay $10,000 less in tuition costs, an amount that is thrown on the backs of taxpaying citizens in Texas.

In 1996, Representative Lamar Smith of Texas authored the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996. Rep. Smith’s bill clearly prohibits states from offering in-state tuition benefits for illegal aliens, unless offered to all U.S. citizens and legal immigrants as well.

The Texas DREAM Act of 2001 that Governor Rick Perry signed and supports, is clearly in violation of Rep. Smith’s Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996.

Although credit must be given for him for attempting to prohibit cities from adopting “sanctuary” rules, being slightly better than Obama is far from good enough.

Where are his letters to the Department of Homeland Security from five or ten years ago? Where is his outrage for the Texan taxpayer money he’d used to provide illegals with subsidized education? He obviously wasn’t thinking of a presidential run in 2001 when signing the Texas DREAM Act. Fighting the people’s fight in order to win an election does not qualify a candidate as a truthful servant of the people. Quite the contrary.

Perry's game of playing conservative immediately prior and during the campaign is not only in regard to illegal immigration. As I’ve written in the past, Perry has been governor for over decade yet only found it necessary this year to pass a budget smaller than the previous one. You can love Rick Perry to no end, but if you’re ready to support Perry despite his hypocrisy than you might as well support the Romney. As long as the field is still open and other candidates have the option of joining, a true conservative shouldn't support either of the two flip-floppers. Perry obviously thought he’d get away with the publicity stunt without anyone delving into his true positions and past records. However, the voters have awoken and candidates will have to prove they’ve walked the walk, not just talked the talk.

The Republican Party’s motto has always been cutting taxes and spending. Cutting taxes is indeed necessary for the economy to flourish. However, most Republicans including Perry have only focused on the tax cuts part while skipping over the equally or more important cuts in spending. Tax cuts alone is not an effective or sound economic policy. The deficit has increased with four trillion during Bush’s two terms despite his tax cuts, since wasteful spending was not curbed.

The Republican establishment crowd is currently seeking for more of the old; a candidate who is capable of shelling out trillions at a speed only somewhat lower than Obama’s as long as the candidate will pledge to cut taxes. This reasoning is faulty since it doesn’t solve the economic troubles nor do anything to reduce the deficit. Tax cuts alone are not enough to turn around the economy since it doesn’t include anything to halt the tracks of the upwards-climbing deficit. Although tax cuts might’ve boosted the economy somewhat and possibly delayed the credit rating downgrade, it wouldn’t avoid the downgrade.

Every one of the Republican presidential candidates would fight new taxes for they wouldn’t want to face the same fate as Bush 41. Would any of them be willing and able to implement real spending cuts? It’s time to update “Read my lips: No New Taxes” to include “Read my lips: No New Spending.”

Only one individual has a record of consistently cutting spending.
